If you think of summer, sun, beach and sea when you think of playing Frisbee, you definitely don't have >>Ultimate Frisbee<< in mind. With us, you can discover that the round disc can be used for much more than just "throwing it back and forth". Ultimate Frisbee is a team sport that combines elements of soccer, basketball and American soccer. The object of the game is to catch the Frisbee disc in the opponent's end zone by passing it to teammates of one's own team and score a point. The person in possession of the disc has ten seconds to continue playing and may move with a star step, but may not run with the caught disc. All other players may move freely. If a pass lands on the ground, out of bounds, or is intercepted by the opposing team, the disc possession ("turnover") changes and the other team immediately attacks. Depending on the tournament, the game is played to a certain number of points or to a pre-agreed time. After each point, any number of players may substitute. The whole thing runs very fairly, which means that the sport is body-contact-free and self-regulating. If an unintentional contact still occurs, no referee is needed because the fouled player indicates the foul himself and agrees with the opponent. Every player is responsible for a respectful handling and an appropriate application of the rules. Accordingly, the most important rule is the "Spirit of the Game". What this means exactly, you can get to know with us.
