Course Introduction to South Indian classical dance- Bharatanatyam 
 
1. Introductory steps (adavus), introduction of expressions (abhinaya), basics of hand gestures (mudras and hastas)
 
2. History and theory aspects (Bhava raga tala) of Bharatanatyam
 
3. Learning a choreography and to be able to perform a semiclassical /folk dance piece

Hinweise:

Practice dress for the course- Comfortable pants (leggings/jeggings), Long tops with mega sleeves (No sleeveless/ full sleeves) and MANDATORY Long stoles/scarfs to tie around waist (DUPATTA). 
 
Participants are required to carry a notebook and writing material and also water and some snacks.
